The product expands when you soak it in warm water, the material is soft, it isn't as rough as some people describe it but I would only recommend to use the on your cheeks, outer face, chin, and forehead because the other areas such as, your eyes are too delicate for this sponge. I've only used it for a day or two and I can see improvements - having clear skin makes life so much easier interim's of applying make up on and having to be a little more confident without make up. This is definitely worth adding into your daily facial routine.
